Safety boundary: Preflight tests still use only synthetic serial SIMLAB00001 and synthetic PIN 90000001. The separate Phase 2 staging receiver is disabled by default; physical-device tests require short windows, approval and a written rollback plan. There is no connection to the production RS8 database. Do not change any real MB40VL server address merely to run these synthetic tests.
